Active teaching: In contrast to teaching primarily through the use of lectures and formal presentation of PowerPoint decks, active teaching involves a variety of methods that engages participants in a more experiential way. Such teaching typically increases involvement, learning, and levels of retention.

Co-leaders: Organizations frequently deploy leader-teachers in pairs, trios, or small teams to teach a program. Program champions sometimes consist of two or possibly three individuals. Each of these combinations are examples of leader-teacher co-leadership.
