Make Inclusion a Top Priority

From his very first days as pope, Francis’s top priority has been to make the Church more inclusive. This goal is something he has hoped for ever since his days as the “Bishop of the Slums.” Those who know him best have said that he changed during those years when he strolled back alleys drinking mata with the poor and tending to his flock. He became closest with those who were otherwise alienated not only by society at large but by the ever-increasing opulence of the Catholic Church’s high offices.
