About the Author

Dayna Rothman is the senior content marketing manager at Marketo, a leading marketing automation software maker and a thought leader in the lead generation space. Dayna has been in the trenches at a fast-paced technology company and has seen first-hand how to run a lead-generation machine. Prior to Marketo, Dayna spent time developing lead generation strategies for a variety of start-ups in the Silicon Valley. Dayna has an undergraduate degree in Technical writing and English from Southern Connecticut State University, and an MBA from Golden Gate University. Growing up, Dayna always loved to write. At college in Connecticut, she found a knack for non-fiction writing and aspired to write technical manuals for businesses. As luck would have it, her first job offer was in sales, where she worked for quite a few years. She then ventured to Oakland, California and landed a marketing job in the bustling world of technology. A lot of hard work, an MBA, and a few marketing jobs later, she found herself at Marketo, where she finally found the perfect intersection of the business world she had grown to love, and the writing that she had always longed to get back into. Since then, she has authored a number of blogs, ebooks, and some of Marketo’s Definitive Guide series. Additionally, Dayna has spoken at numerous industry events and webinars.
