AUTHOR BIOGRAPHY

Robert Rodriguez, PhD, is the chairman of the board of directors for the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE), a leading national nonprofit organization dedicated to building Latino careers through leadership and development of Latino students and experienced professionals. He has consulted for several leading corporations on their Latino talent strategy including Abbott Labs, Supervalu, Wachovia, DaimlerChrysler, Darden Restaurants, and Allianz Life. He also serves as the assistant dean of the Graduate School of Management at Kaplan University and is in charge of their Latino educational initiatives. Prior to academia, Dr. Rodriguez held human resource leadership roles at 3M, Amoco, and R.R. Donnelley & Sons. He has published over 25 articles on a variety of diversity and human resource strategy topics and is a frequent speaker at national human resource and diversity conferences. Dr. Rodriguez is the son of immigrant parents from Mexico who used the passion for learning instilled in him by his parents to become the first member of his extended family to attend college. He earned his bachelors degree in business management in 1991, his masters degree in human resource management in 1996, and his PhD in organization development in 2001.
