8.4. Provision the Solution

The completed sets of component and interface definitions are used as the basis for the implementation of the system. In a pure top-down approach, provisioning the solution would not commence until the architecture of the system has been completed. In reality, of course, many aspects of the solution may have been decided before the architecture was defined (e.g., due to the need to conform to corporate development standards), or may have been started while the architecture definition was taking place (e.g., development of technology prototypes).
