B.2. Enterprise Component Architecture Design

A first-pass enterprise component architecture is modeled for maximum flexibility and ease of application integration. The focus is on core business domain components: Invoices, Requisitions, Parties, and Vehicles as indicated in Figure B.1. Code Tables, Address Formatting and User Security are business infrastructure components. Error Handler and Recovery and user security are technical infrastructure components. Address Formatting is used exclusively by Parties, at this stage. The other infrastructure components are used globally by any business component; by convention, their client dependencies are omitted from the diagram.
