Using MAX

Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) is a software used along with LabVIEW for instrument management. In this recipe, we will demonstrate how to send hex number to instrument, create a DAQMX task, and create a simulated instrument within MAX. A simulated instrument can be used when we try to program an instrument, but we do not have the instrument at hand.

How to do it…

We will start by using MAX to send hex number to an instrument. This is only applicable for instruments that support hex number communication.
