Chapter 1. Introduction

Within the last decade, electrical, electronic, and computer engineering have become increasingly intertwined. Although it is difficult to define what separates these disciplines in terms of theory, the applications and experimental work related to each discipline have distinctive features and, therefore, require special attention.
