Unlike most countries with Muslim majorities, Turkey is officially secular, so the workweek runs from Monday through Friday (or Saturday for retail). Observant Muslims will attend mosques on Fridays at noon, and appointments may be somewhat difficult to schedule on Friday afternoons.

Senior executives may arrive later in the morning—somewhere around 9:00 A.M. Morning appointments should be scheduled around 10:00 or 11:00 A.M.

Most corporate environments provide two weeks of paid vacation annually.
