A well-known South Korean attorney was posed a question about what to do at business dinners in Asia if you do not drink alcohol. Can you refuse your host’s offer to have some wine? Can you just drink water, soda, or tea? Acknowledging that this is a common dilemma, not just in Korea, but for many people in many cultures, he suggested the following approach:
