Germans are at the forefront of recycling and environmental sciences. Marketing your product as “green” will appeal to German consumers. However, you will have to back up your green credentials with data.

Even toys in Germany are marketed as green. Some are not only made of recycled or environmentally friendly materials, but also teach children about the environment. Green products, of course, usually cost more to produce, but they are often more durable as well (an important marketing point in Germany). A 2010 survey by the Nuremburg Toy Fair revealed that about a third of German consumers would be willing to pay 10 to 20 percent more for toys made from sustainable products.
