WORKWEEK

The workweek runs Monday through Friday in Australia. Although the official workweek is 36.6 hours, Australian executives often work more than 40 hours a week.

Business breakfasts are commonplace, as are early morning appointments.

In 2011 Australia had 15 official holidays (some fell on weekends). In addition to those holidays, workers with 10 years’ tenure could receive 20 paid vacation days.
