I find I am most challenged by the ocean and the trading markets. I respect them because they are both such a challenge to outwit. Both have similarities. The ocean can be beautiful, but it also can be deadly. Same with the market: It can be deadly or calm. The other similar aspect is that neither gives a damn about me or anyone else. They are individual forces that have strength beyond our mortal powers. Often they are personalized, as “mother nature” or “Mr. Market,” but they are not personal.
