The Guilty Bystander Camera Mount for the Third Man Tripod
This is a really simple way to mount a fluid head on your surveyor’s tripod. That’s Hollywood cameraman, Mike Ferris, using the Third Man tripod with The Guilty Bystander mount. Just in case you were wondering, yes, I really do use the rigs in this book on actual shoots!
This is simply a block of wood with thin padding to keep the fluid head from slipping. I’ve had some people make this out of a block of aluminum too. There’s really no advantage to making this out of aluminum, except it looks meaner.
