The big picture

Changes in organisations do not always succeed. This may be because management has no shared vision, because there is no connection between the programme team and the organisation, or between the project teams themselves, or because of fragmented communication. The model for socially engineered change provides guidelines on how change can be made a sustainable success, whether it involves the introduction of a new method, a reorganisation or a (post-merger) integration of organisations (Figure 66.1).
