The big picture

The business definition model introduced by Derek Abell (1980) defines and considers a company on the basis of three dimensions: the customers (who), their needs (what) and the technology and competencies the company dedicates to serve those needs (how). The model – by popular account – determines your business scope: stating what your company and business are about.
