The Olympic Academy in Vicenza was made up of a mixed group of people, some of whom had money, others only a passion for learning. Andrea Palladio was one of its founder members, introduced by his patron Count Giangiorgio Trissino. It was Trissino who had given his protégé the name Palladio.
