Search can get personal both as an interaction and as an underlying technology. Search as an interaction supports finding and re-finding and possibly other PIM activities too, like keeping and maintaining. Search-as-technology produces a text database with many uses. Search can help track information about us or posted by us as this information travels around the Web. But search, like email, needs to be better connected to the situations that prompt its use.
