Part I. Kaizen Basics

The first part of this book is intended to outline the fundamental aspects of a company kaizen program. I will describe the difference between kaizen as a philosophy and kaizen events, the implementation mechanism for many lean initiatives. The kaizen champion, the kaizen steering committee, communication, meetings, the kaizen event supply box, and the important steps in planning events will all be discussed.
