Formatting the Test Data File

The script is designed to read test data records from an external input file and then perform actions based on the data record contents. A sequential text file or data pools are the fastest input methods and thus are preferred; however, an MS Excel spreadsheet (slowest and may be code dependant) or an MS Access database can also be used. After the test is performed, verify the expected result. (For example, using Rational TestStudio, this would be accomplished through Robot's recorded verification points, windows existence test, etc.) If the expected result occurs, no error condition is generated.
