Input Data Test

This test type examines the capability of the AUT to accept valid data input, as well as its capacity to reject invalid data input (either create an error or mask out invalid values at the object level). This test can be combined with the business rule test type (which tests client- and server-level validations) or it can be developed independently. When constructed separately, it should test only GUI-level validations. It can also be used as a method for entering volume input during load/stress testing and reliability testing.
