Description

Configure the duration of the Graceful Restart period globally. Additionally, you can individually configure the duration of the Graceful Restart period for the End System-to-Intermediate System (ES-IS), Intermediate System-to-Intermediate System (IS-IS), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), and OSPFv3 protocols and for Protocol-Independent Multicast (PIM) sparse mode.

The range of values varies according to whether the Graceful Restart period is being set globally or for a particular protocol:

  • ES-IS: 30–300

  • IS-IS: 30–300

  • OSPF/OSPFv3: 1–3,600

  • PIM: 30–300

Default

The default value varies according to whether the Graceful Restart period is being set globally or for a particular protocol:

  • ES-IS: 180

  • IS-IS: 210

  • OSPF/OSPFv3: 180

  • PIM: 60
