Weekend Projects
None of us start our musical lives by saying, “How do I play a dominant seventh on this thing?” or “How many sharps are there in F major?” But most of us pretty quickly start asking, “How do I play ‘Camptown Races’ or the intro to ‘Iron Man’ on this thing?” If that’s where you’re at musically, then Part II is calling (as are the appendices, especially Appendix C).
The projects in Part II are more advanced than those in Part I. Some call for more tools or trickier construction techniques, while others simply take longer to complete, with more sawing, drilling, sanding, soldering, and so on.
