How jQuery helps us

One of the ways jQuery helps us is by taking the pain out of Ajax. Users no longer want to wait through cycles where they click submit, the page goes blank, then new content loads. Sites like Facebook, Gmail, and Twitter have shown users that the web can be very app-like. Although jQuery is a library and not a programming framework like AngularJS or Ember, it can easily enable the fetching and sending of server data without doing page reloads.
