In the last chapter, we looked at animations and how they can bring your site to life. In this chapter, we will look at one of the most important functions of any website – forms. A well-crafted form can be the difference between a new customer and a missed opportunity. So forms deserved to be examined closely.

Getting users to complete a form and submit it can be challenging. If our site frustrates a user at any time, they may abandon the form and our site. So we provide the user with gentle cues letting them know what each input element of the form needs by using tool tips, placeholder text, and visual indicators letting them know whether an input is valid or invalid.
