Workshop projects

GROUP projects run on a woricshop basis can form a useful part of journalism training where there is a year of students or entrants under instruction either in-house or pre-house. The trainee can gain insights into newspaper and magazine practice through group activities that would be much harder — even impossible in some cases — to achieve working alone.

Group projects can be used to break away from formal assignments, with tutors concentrating instead on teaching students to read and analyse the contents of newspapers and magazines, to study the methods by which they are put together.
