12. The Language Files

It is frequently a requirement to offer a Web site in several languages. We touched on this topic briefly in earlier chapters. Now let’s learn more about the language files.

If you want to offer your template in several languages, you have the option of defining language constants in both the front end and the back end so that they can be translated into several languages. Examples of these constants, which are often called language strings, are “Next” and “Prev,” used in pagination.

In the back end you will find language strings in the XML file of the template.
