404 Errors and Pages
A 404 page is one showing a Page not found error. This is something that should be avoided as much as possible. For visitors of your site, this looks ugly or unexpected, especially with Joomla’s default error page (Figure 11-1).

Additionally, search engines do not like them at all, so they should be prevented as much as possible. In case prevention is not possible, at least you have to offer a nice-looking page.
