THE IMPORTANCE OF BACKUPS

I've mentioned how important backups are several times in this book. I talked about backups through your web hosting provider in Lesson 3, and about the Akeeba Backup extension in Lesson 28.

Anytime you need to perform maintenance on your website, or you want to add new extensions to the site, make sure you have a backup in place in case something goes wrong.

The easiest way to do this is to run Akeeba Backup first, before making the change to the website. See Lesson 28 if you need a review of Akeeba Backup.
