Create a password-protected portion of your website.

Lesson Requirements

Make sure you're logged into the back end of Joomla.

Step-by-Step

1. Create a section for the password-protected area of the website and set it to the Registered access level. Create a category and articles within this section.
2. Create a menu item linking to some or all of this content. Make sure you set the menu item to the Registered access level.
3. Create a login box module and assign it to the home page of your website.
4. Create a registered user, and confirm that the user can log in and see the information for registered users.
5. If appropriate, remove the Create an Account link at the bottom of the login box.
