DOWNLOADING THE BACKUP TO YOUR COMPUTER

Now that you have a backup, you should download it to your computer. If you leave it on your web server, and your web server fails, then your backups disappear with the website.

To download the backup, click the Administer Backup Files link on the completion page, or go back to the Akeeba Backup control panel (Components images Akeeba Backup, as shown earlier in Figure 28-6) and click the Administer Backup Files icon. You should then see a screen similar to the one shown in Figure 28-10. The backup you just made will be listed here. If you have been using Akeeba Backup prior to this lesson, or if you're administering an existing Joomla site, you may see more than one backup listed.

Click on the name of the file you wish to download, under the Manage & Download column. The warning shown in Figure 28-11 will appear.
