My friend Ken Crowder (known as ChiefGoFor on the forums) once told me that he learned Joomla by answering two questions for each one he asked. This is an excellent way to learn Joomla, as well as to give back to the Joomla project.
In general, if you have questions about an extension you installed, the best place to ask them is on the website from which you downloaded the extension.
