Basic content

Because this website demonstrates how to use the Joomla! framework as a multiple user blog, the main challenge is to categorize the content in a way that will make it easily accessible. But before we do this, let us first define the users and how they will be registered.

User settings

The basic user settings can be found on the Global Configuration page as a link named System. In the page that opens (shown in the following screenshot), in the User Settings pane, change the New User Registration Type to Author. In this way, all of the registered users can now post blog posts. However, as these users are not Editors, they cannot publish the blog posts.
