People who are good with hammers see every problem as a nail! Make sure that you see the problem clearly and as it really is before applying any readymade solution. Whatever features the problem facing you may have in common with others, always be observant about what makes it unique.
Problems fall into two very broad categories: problems that are really obstacles of one kind or another that appear across your chosen path, and systems problems. If, for example, you change your course or plan, often problems of the first order simply disappear. If you decide not to climb Everest the snow blizzard ceases to be a problem.
