Intuition is the most common general word for the faculty of the depth mind. It indicates the kind of comprehension or knowledge that comes quickly into your mind, apparently without the intervention of conscious reasoning, inferring or deliberation.
The most characteristic example of intuition is when you come to know – or suspect – that a situation exists when you have no direct evidence that it is the case.
