Idea 27: Imagination

Did Shakespeare set himself the strategic goal of becoming the world's most famous playwright and then plan his plays accordingly? It is highly improbable that he thought that way. But he may have dreamed of greatness when he was a boy. As the Spanish proverb says:

If you build no castles in the air, you build no castles anywhere.

Successful people tend to be imaginative on different levels. In decision-making or problem-solving situations, for example, imagination is the ability and drive to discern the various useful possibilities and alternatives that are inherent in a problem, but are not obvious to less perceptive observers.
