Parting Is Such Sweet Sorrow

The final piece of your job search, unless you are unemployed, is giving notice to your current company. While you likely do not need to dig deep into indicators as to how your organization functions, it can be useful to know how they are likely to respond. Some will be very understanding and help you in many ways, from adjusting your departure date to maximizing your insurance coverage to requesting that you remain available should they need you in an emergency.
