Once you’ve found the people and have identified how they function within their organization, it’s time to figure out how they and their organizations think. The way organizations think of themselves metaphorically has been explored in great detail in Gareth Morgan’s excellent book Images of Organization. Within the context of a job search, it is important to understand that the people with whom you are interviewing have their own concepts as to what they need and what you’d be doing.
