Emotional Concerns

The process described in this book is deceptively straightforward. This was a necessary trade-off, since different people require differing levels of emotional support throughout the process. To maximize understanding, the decision was made to keep this book as factual and direct as possible. The cost of this trade-off, however, is that the process appears far easier than it truly is. A certain type of person, one who is commonly found in IT and often self-identifies as an introvert, will have problems with this.

If you have never suffered from depression, issues of self-esteem, or distraction, feel free to skip this appendix. It’s not written for you and you’ll probably find it overly touchy-feely.
