Correlations and Multivariate Techniques
Using the Multivariate Platform
The Multivariate platform specializes in exploring how many variables relate to each other. The default report shows the standard correlation table and a scatterplot matrix. Additional options and other techniques for looking at multiple variables are available, such as the following:
• a scatterplot matrix with normal density ellipses
• inverse, partial, and pairwise correlations
• a covariance matrix
• nonparametric measures of association
• simple statistics (such as mean and standard deviation)
• an outlier analysis that shows how far a row is from the center, respecting the correlation structure
