If all these transformations are starting to make you dizzy, you probably feel an urge to know where you are in the scene. Remember that you always look into the scene through the eye of a camera object.

By default, the camera is:

  1. Located at the coordinate (0.0f , 0.0f , 10.0f).
  2. Rotated to look in the direction (0.0f , 0.0f , -1.0f).

In other words, your default point of view is on the positive side of the z axis, from a spot that is 10 WU away from the origin. You are looking back down along the z axis, towards the origin.
