Installing Vagrant

Perform the following steps to install Vagrant on your system:

  1. Download the Vagrant installer compatible with your system from http://www.vagrantup.com/downloads.html. At the time of writing this book, version 1.6.3 is the latest version, and that is what was used in the book.
  2. Once downloaded, double-click on the installer and follow the onscreen instructions.

If needed, the older versions of the installer can be retrieved from http://www.vagrantup.com/downloads-archive.html.
