SD.1. Introduction
This specification defines helper utility classes, along with supporting interfaces and classes, that encapsulate functionality that can help a Jini technology-enabled service or client (Jini service or Jini client) in acquiring services of interest that are registered with the various lookup services with which the service or client wishes to interact.
