Summary

In this chapter, we saw how to use and create runtime managers, runtime engines, and how they affect the way processes can interact with each other. We learned the consequences of both KIE session sharing and isolation from a process execution perspective. Also, we learned how to define the environment configurations to start our runtime.

The following chapter will show us how to configure persistence mechanisms for our KIE sessions in order to keep database copies of our processes' current execution paths for reuse and concurrency.
