The JBossCMP layer consists of the components that support the EJB 1.1 container-managed persistence (CMP) model. This chapter describes CMP and examines how the JBoss EJB container provides extensible support for CMP. The chapter concludes with an introduction to the default CMP implementation provided with JBoss as well as an explanation of how it can be customized for use with CMP beans.
