Web Services in WebLogic

BEA introduced the world of Web services to WebLogic developers with WebLogic Server version 6.1 in the very early days of Web services. WebLogic implements WSDL and SOAP 1.1, both SOAP-based RPC and message-based SOAP. BEA wrote its own Web services implementation and provides ongoing support and updates.

WebLogic implements UDDI services to interact with the UDDI.org business directory. WebLogic also enables businesses to deploy their own private UDDI registries behind a corporate firewall to publish services that are private to the company.
