Port

Now that you have defined the method of the transport, you can finally start to tie the whole thing to a specific IP address. The binding identified that you were using SOAP over HTTP or SOAP over SMTP, but did not yet define what the network address was of the machine that was hosting the service. The port element adds that information.

Defining a Port

A port consists primarily of a name, a binding, and the wire-specific address information. The port name must be unique among the entire WSDL document and represents the name by which the port will be known.
