Summary
In this chapter, you built your first Java Web service, using the AXIS toolkit from the Apache Software Foundation. This Web service was a variant of the popular “Hello World!” example program, which, although not very extravagant, does demonstrate all the requisite basics. In Chapter 6, you will build on this simple example, to build a more complex JSP-based Web service.
