The JAD and JAR Files

Recall from Chapter 5 that the Message property was defined in the dialog that corresponded to the JAD file in the JWT interface. The getAppProperty() method retrieved the defined value. By changing your code and a line in the JAD file for your NetBeans MIDlet, you can restore the getAppProperty() method to your source code and again see the effect of processing the Message property.

The NetBeans IDE incorporates the functionality of the Java Wireless Toolkit (JWT), and just as the JWT generated JAR and JAD files, the NetBeans IDE also generates such files.
