Appendix B. API Reference

This reference outlines the classes and interfaces in the JSP 1.2 and Servlet 2.3 specifications, per the September 25, 2001, final release. There are four packages that contain them:

  1. javax.servlet Classes and interfaces to support servlets

  2. javax.servlet.http Classes and interfaces for using servlets with HTTP

  3. javax.servlet.jsp Classes and interfaces to support JSP

  4. javax.servlet.jsp.tagext Classes and interfaces for creating custom actions (tag extensions) in JSP

The reference contains a list of the methods for the interfaces, classes, and exceptions in each package.
